The Air in the Morning - Mount Eerie

The air in the morning

(and the way that Halloween is always approaching)

will enter the room.

It will find my cheek and will wake me up roaring.

With the rains come Halloween

and with the night comes the air in the morning.

My costume will be myself with the night on my face

so I stand in the rain in the dark with the world unfolding.

The air in the morning comes in song.

De lucht in de ochtend

(en de manier waarop Halloween altijd nadert)

zal de kamer binnenkomen.

Het zal mijn wang vinden en zal me brullend wakker maken.

Met de regen komt Halloween

en met de nacht komt de lucht in de ochtend.

Mijn kostuum zal mezelf zijn met de nacht op mijn gezicht

dus ik sta in de regen in het donker terwijl de wereld zich ontvouwt.

De lucht in de ochtend komt in gezang.
