Kamelot
Kamelot is een Amerikaanse metalband, opgericht in 1991 in de Verenigde Staten door Thomas Youngblood en Richard Warner. De band speelt symfonische power metal met elementen uit andere genres. De naam van de band verwijst naar de mythische stad Camelot, zij het met een opzettelijke spelfout. Ondanks de Europese oorsprong staat Kamelot bekend om zijn "Europese" sound. Tot hun meest geprezen albums behoren "The Black Halo" en "Epica" die zowel door critici als fans van het genre werden geprezen. De band heeft een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan de ontwikkeling van epic metal door complexe orkestraties te combineren met krachtige zang.
