A dunk is a fella or girl who takes chances

Yes, Sir, dunks are just plain fools

Every year, thousands of dunks are hurt

Just because they’re dunks!

They run out to the street without looking both ways

They do all sorts of things they shouldn’t do

And they pay for it, too

And Y’know, it’s a shame, too

'cause, dunks are just plain fellas and girls

The only difference is: They get hurt

Act like a dunk, and you won’t be able to do all things

That are so much fun to do

Don’t you be a dunk!

Pip digs the bike

But Ed is mean

Remember, look both ways before you cross the street

Never ever step off the curve, until you know the coast is clear!

It only takes a second, but it may mean the difference

Between a summer filled with fun, and months in bed

Don’t be a dunk!

Well there’s only one kind of person who takes chances around automobiles

And that person is a dunk

Sooner or later, dunks get hurt

They do all kinds of foolish things

Dunks just aren’t very smart

Some grownups are dunks too

Een dunk is een man of een meisje die risico's neemt

Ja, meneer, dunks zijn gewoon dwazen

Elk jaar raken duizenden dunks gewond

Gewoon omdat het dunks zijn!

Ze rennen de straat op zonder beide kanten op te kijken

Ze doen allerlei dingen die ze niet zouden moeten doen

En ze betalen er ook nog voor

En weet je, het is ook jammer

want dunks zijn gewoon jongens en meisjes

Het enige verschil is: ze raken gewond

Gedraag je als een dobber, en je kunt niet alle dingen doen

Dat is zo leuk om te doen

Wees geen dunk!

Neem geen risico!

Pam vindt een pot

Pip steekt de straat over

Pip zit op de pot

De pottips op Pete

De fiets is rood en

Het licht is groen

Pip graaft de fiets op

Maar Ed is gemeen

Denk eraan, kijk beide kanten op voordat je de straat oversteekt

Stap nooit uit de bocht, totdat je weet dat de kust veilig is!

Het duurt maar een seconde, maar het kan het verschil betekenen

Tussen een zomer vol plezier en maanden in bed

Wees geen dunk!

Nou, er is maar één soort persoon die risico's neemt in de buurt van auto's

En die persoon is een dunk

Vroeg of laat raken dunks gewond

Ze doen allerlei dwaze dingen

Dunks zijn gewoon niet erg slim

De auto gaat snel

Het licht is rood

De regen komt naar beneden, en de straten zijn glad

En je voelt je een beetje ziek

Met hoofdpijn in mijn keel en zuur in mijn hoofd

Op straat met veel mensen, waar ik dood beter af ben

En vergeet je niet!

Sommige volwassenen zijn ook dunks

Het ding om te onthouden is: begin geen dunk te zijn —

En uiteindelijk word je er geen

Onthoud dat, bende, wees geen oude dunk!

Neem geen risico!

Stop op de bocht en zorg dat de kust vrij is
