O God, You are my God

Earnestly I seek You

My soul thirsts for You

My flesh faints for You

As in a dry and weary land where there is no water

So I have looked upon

Upon You in the sanctuary

Beholding Your power and glory

Because Your steadfast love

Is better than life my lips will praise You

So I will bless you as long as I live

In Your name, I will lift up my hands

My soul will be satisfied (God, You are my; God, You are)

As with fat and rich food (God, You are my; God, You are)

And my mouth will praise You with joyful lips

When I remember You upon my bed

And meditate on You in the watches of the night

For You have been my help

And in the shadow of Your wings

I will sing

I will sing for joy

My soul clings to You

Your right hand upholds me

But those who seek to destroy my life (God, You are my; God, You are)

Shall go down into the depths of the earth (God, You are my; God, You are)

They shall be given over to the power of the sword

They shall be a portion for jackals (God, You are my; God, You are)

But the king shall rejoice in God (God, You are my; God, You are)

All who swear by Him shall exult

For the mouths of liars

For the mouths of liars will be stopped

In alle ernst zoek ik U

Aanschouwend Uw macht en glorie

Omdat Uw standvastige liefde

Is beter dan het leven, mijn lippen zullen U loven

Dus ik zal je zegenen zolang ik leef

In uw naam zal ik mijn handen opheffen

Net als bij vet en rijk voedsel (God, U bent mijn; God, U bent)

En mijn mond zal U loven met blije lippen

Als ik me je herinner op mijn bed

En mediteer op U in de wacht van de nacht

Want je bent mijn hulp geweest

En in de schaduw van je vleugels

Ik zal zingen

Ik zal zingen van vreugde

Mijn ziel klampt zich vast aan jou

Je rechterhand ondersteunt me

Maar degenen die proberen mijn leven te vernietigen (God, U bent mijn; God, U bent)

Zullen afdalen in de diepten van de aarde (God, U bent mijn; God, U bent)

Ze zullen worden overgegeven aan de kracht van het zwaard

Ze zullen een deel zijn voor jakhalzen (God, U bent mijn; God, U bent)

Maar de koning zal zich verheugen in God (God, U bent mijn; God, U bent)

Allen die bij Hem zweren, zullen juichen

Voor de monden van leugenaars

Want de monden van leugenaars zullen worden gestopt
