Omega Barrier - Means End

Some feel that the flexibility

of the human mind

is irreconcilable with the notion

that it resides on rigid hardware.

Though, if our self-understanding can’t ever be truly complete then perhaps

it’s not so strange to feel that way.

What was once such a tangible feeling,

now is lost,

and seems to lead to a paradox.

«You can’t consistently assert this truth.»

Whether you assert it or deny it,

you would inevitably admit

that you are not able to assert

every single truth about yourself.

You’ve reached the ω barrier.

You can’t escape the system

because it’s built out of you.

We see complex emergent phenomena from deep within, bubble to the surface.

This fits well with the observation that we simply can’t force ourselves to

describe the neural or even symbolic functions from whence something like

ambition emerges from;

it’s just there.

We could very well just be machines underneath it all and never be the wiser.

Then so be it.

It wouldn’t change anything.

Nothing.

Not a goddamn thing.

Sommigen vinden dat de flexibiliteit

van de menselijke geest

is onverenigbaar met het idee

dat het zich op stijve hardware bevindt.

Maar als ons zelfbegrip nooit echt volledig kan zijn, dan misschien

het is niet zo vreemd om je zo te voelen.

Wat ooit zo'n tastbaar gevoel was,

is nu verloren,

en lijkt te leiden tot een paradox.

"Je kunt deze waarheid niet consequent beweren."

Of je het nu beweert of ontkent,

je zou onvermijdelijk toegeven

dat u niet kunt beweren

elke waarheid over jezelf.

Je hebt de -barrière bereikt.

Je kunt niet ontsnappen aan het systeem

omdat het uit jou is opgebouwd.

We zien complexe opkomende verschijnselen van diep van binnen, naar de oppervlakte borrelen.

Dit past goed bij de observatie dat we onszelf er gewoon niet toe kunnen dwingen

beschrijf de neurale of zelfs symbolische functies vanwaar zoiets als:

ambitie komt voort uit;

het is er gewoon.

We zouden heel goed gewoon machines kunnen zijn en nooit wijzer zijn.

Dan is het zo.

Het zou niets veranderen.

Niets.

Verdomme niet.
