Je zegt dat je niet wilt weten waar deze weg heen gaat

terwijl je zijn draai en zijn bochten volgt,

als ik iemand wil zijn die even vrij is, zijn er dingen die ik moet afleren...

En ik zeg dat het veilig is om te veronderstellen dat er af en toe stormen zullen zijn

omdat je een wind zo onstuimig en koud hebt,

en langs onze wangen zal de regen in lakens vallen

tot de zon ons allebei verwarmt

Het trottoir is de trommel waarop we walsen in de maat
