you were full and fully capable

you were self sufficient and needless

and so you softened and you’re still safely in command

self protection was in times of true danger

your best defense to mistrust and be wary

surrendering a feat of unequalled measure

and I’m thrilled to let you in overjoyed to be let in in kind

en ik groet je voor je moed

en ik omhels je voor je geloof in het aangezicht van vijandige krachten

die ik vertegenwoordig

dus je was erbij, maar niet helemaal

je had er zin in, maar niet helemaal

je wist hoe armlengte je twijfel kan in stand houden

en dus viel je en ben je intact

dus je bent erin gedoken en je ademt nog steeds

dus je sprong en je vliegt nog steeds als je niet geschrokken bent

en ik steun u in uw vertrouwen

en ik prijs je voor je wijsheid

en ik sta versteld van je overgave in het aangezicht van dreigende krachten

die ik vertegenwoordig

je hebt creatieve manieren gevonden om afstand te houden

je verborg veel door humor

je keuze van bepantsering was je intellect

en dus voelde je en je bent nog steeds hier

en dus je stierf en je staat nog steeds

en dus werd je zachter en heb je nog steeds veilig de leiding

zelfbescherming was in tijden van echt gevaar

uw beste verdediging om te wantrouwen en op uw hoede te zijn

een prestatie van ongeëvenaarde maat opgeven

en ik ben verheugd om je binnen te laten, dolblij om in natura te worden binnengelaten
