In the frozen winter

Through the ice and through the snow

I’m walking right beside you

My hands, they slipped, I’m cold now

I was only playing with my friends

Into the cold

Over the mountains

Fading in the dark

But life has turned against me

«As darkness closes in

The coldness grows stronger

And now he only sees them

«I can no longer stay»

Far from the shadows

I have finally found my way back home

De kou in

over de oceanen

Ik reis door ruimte en tijd

En als een stille fluistering

Vertrouwen in de wind

Mijn kracht in het leven is altijd:

Komt van binnenuit

Maar je bent niet langer in de buurt

En alles wat ik voel is angst

Ik wou dat je me kon zien

Vervagen in het donker

Maar het leven heeft zich tegen mij gekeerd

Ik vraag me af waar je bent

Ik kan de weg naar huis niet vinden

De kou in

Over de bergen

Ik zal volgen waar je ook gaat

Over de zeeën

over de oceanen

Ik reis door ruimte en tijd

«Naarmate de duisternis dichterbij komt»

De kou wordt sterker

En aangezien zijn reis net is begonnen

Moeder natuur zal hem niet naar de grond brengen»

En hij kan hun stemmen nu horen

Bellen in de nacht

Maar hij wordt zwakker, dus hoe?

Zal hij het licht vinden?

Doorbreken is zonsopgang

Een lichtstraal op de huid

Een gevoel van wanhoop

Ze voelen allemaal van binnen

En nu ziet hij ze alleen nog

Van een afstand ver weg

Een laatste «tot ziens» fluistert hij

"Ik kan niet langer blijven"

In je dromen

In de zonsopgang

Ik zal er altijd voor je zijn

Uit het donker

Ver van de schaduwen

Ik heb eindelijk mijn weg terug naar huis gevonden
