That’s why I always ask myself, while other dudes are guessin'

Like why don’t all these rappers nowadays pursue perfection?

Why has the music that I love gone in this new direction?

And why are people so afraid to get aware?

Why does this younger generation hardly ever seem to care?

Why did all the older generations let their greediness

Destroy the world around us for money?

And then they leave us this?

And what is money really?

Why do we need it, right?

Do you use it to plug your ears so you can sleep at night?

So you don’t hear your conscience tryna make you see the light?

Why don’t they care about us?

We’re all just people right?

Why are we killin' Mother Nature for the paper?

Why is everything extinct or, critically endangered?

Why couldn’t we have found a way to live together?

So everything could exist forever?

Why are there politicians?

I guess the better question is why don’t they ever listen?

Why do they always have to lie to us?

Why does the news just try to stir the

fear inside of us?

What do they really have to hide from us?

Why are blind men leading other blind men

With ignorance in office and armies standing behind them?

Why do we kill each other?

Why don’t we heal each other?

Why do we break each other down instead of build each other?

Why are the smartest people labeled crazy?

Why are kids having babies?

Why do doctors say to take these?

And why do big pharma companies have us by these puppet strings?

So, now we need a pill for every fucking thing

Why are there terrorists?

What if they just saw a therapist, changed their ways and moved to the Americas?

Are people really bad?

Or are they taught to be?

Why do kids do drugs?

Wait, why do I do em?

I know it’ll catch up to me and leave my life ruined

So why do I find myself drinking and pill poppin'?

Is it for fun anymore or am I running from my problems?

Why do I have problems anyway?

If I could show the younger Webby where I am today he would be blown away

So why’s my self confidence always on the fence?

Why do I hear the hatin' louder than the compliments?

Why does my mom smoke weed?

Wait, I guess the better question is why don’t we all smoke weed?

Why don’t we tax the televangelists?

Better question, why can’t kids afford to live on campuses and get an education

like their parents did?

Why are the seasons shorter?

Why is the justice system rigged against people without a decent lawyer?

And really what is race?

Cause I don’t see nobody winnin'

Mijn leraar zei dat domme vragen niet bestaan

Daarom vraag ik me altijd af, terwijl andere gasten gissen

Zoals waarom streven al deze rappers tegenwoordig niet naar perfectie?

Waarom is de muziek waar ik van hou deze nieuwe richting ingeslagen?

En waarom zijn mensen zo bang om het te weten?

Waarom lijkt het deze jongere generatie nauwelijks iets te kunnen schelen?

Waarom lieten alle oudere generaties hun hebzucht toe?

De wereld om ons heen vernietigen voor geld?

En dan laten ze ons dit na?

En wat is geld eigenlijk?

Waarom hebben we het nodig, toch?

Gebruik je het om je oren in te pluggen zodat je 's nachts kunt slapen?

Dus je hoort je geweten niet proberen je het licht te laten zien?

Waarom geven ze niet om ons?

We zijn allemaal gewoon mensen toch?

Waarom vermoorden we Moeder Natuur voor de krant?

Waarom is alles uitgestorven of ernstig bedreigd?

Waarom hadden we geen manier kunnen vinden om samen te leven?

Dus alles kan voor altijd blijven bestaan?

Waarom zijn er politici?

Ik denk dat de betere vraag is: waarom luisteren ze nooit?

Waarom moeten ze altijd tegen ons liegen?

Waarom probeert het nieuws het nieuws gewoon op te zwepen?

angst in ons?

Wat hebben ze echt voor ons te verbergen?

Waarom leiden blinde mannen andere blinde mannen?

Met onwetendheid op kantoor en legers die achter hen staan?

Waarom vermoorden we elkaar?

Waarom genezen we elkaar niet?

Waarom breken we elkaar af in plaats van elkaar op te bouwen?

Waarom worden de slimste mensen als gek bestempeld?

Waarom krijgen kinderen baby's?

Waarom zeggen artsen deze te nemen?

En waarom hebben grote farmaceutische bedrijven ons bij deze marionetkoorden?

Dus nu hebben we voor elk ding een pil nodig

Waarom zijn er terroristen?

Wat als ze net een therapeut zouden zien, hun manier van leven zouden veranderen en naar Amerika zouden verhuizen?

Zijn mensen echt slecht?

Of wordt ze geleerd dat te zijn?

Kom met mij in gedachten verdwalen, dit is mijn vragenlijst

Waarom gebruiken kinderen drugs?

Wacht, waarom doe ik ze?

Ik weet dat het me zal inhalen en mijn leven zal verwoesten

Dus waarom merk ik dat ik drink en pil?

Is het meer voor de lol of loop ik weg van mijn problemen?

Waarom heb ik eigenlijk problemen?

Als ik de jongere Webby kon laten zien waar ik nu ben, zou hij weggeblazen worden

Dus waarom is mijn zelfvertrouwen altijd op het hek?

Waarom hoor ik de hatin' luider dan de complimenten?

Waarom rookt mijn moeder wiet?

Wacht, ik denk dat de betere vraag is: waarom roken we niet allemaal wiet?

Waarom belasten we de tv-evangelisten niet?

Betere vraag: waarom kunnen kinderen het zich niet veroorloven om op campussen te wonen en een opleiding te volgen?

zoals hun ouders deden?

Waarom zijn de seizoenen korter?

Waarom wordt het rechtssysteem opgetuigd tegen mensen zonder een fatsoenlijke advocaat?

En wat is ras eigenlijk?

Want ik zie niemand winnen
