I’m a little butcher bird whose kin has lit away

I came out of my egg and I found no family

Left all alone my feathers fell from me

I had to teach myself, teach myself to sing…

He’s my bestest friend but he’s yet to answer me

Petr sidles up he wants to befriend me

I sit his shoulder as if I am a miracle.

I’d lift Scarebeast up to the sky,

If he would only teach me how to fly,

We’d take my feathers and pay them to Aurelias.

Aurelias say he’s not that type,

To work behind the other twos unkind,

He admires my love but my bodys payment ain’t enough.

Since Aurelias say he cannot help me

I’ll find a new way to help my bestest friend Scarebeast

Scare, you don’t question my comforting

You’ve no truck with discussion so my help to you I sing…

Ik ben een kleine slagersvogel wiens verwanten zijn aangestoken

Ik kwam uit mijn ei en ik vond geen familie

Helemaal alleen gelaten vielen mijn veren van me af

Ik moest mezelf leren, mezelf leren zingen...

Dit is hoe ik het me heb geleerd.

Hij is mijn beste vriend, maar hij moet me nog antwoorden

Ik ben jaloers op zijn familie...

Mijn beste vrienden vonden zijn werk angstaanjagend,

maakt perkamentgeluid als ik zijn haar gladstrijk,

Ik zit op zijn schouder alsof ik een wonder ben.

Ik zou Scarebeast naar de hemel tillen,

Als hij me maar zou leren vliegen,

We zouden mijn veren nemen en ze aan Aurelias betalen.

Aurelias zegt dat hij niet dat type is,

Om onaardig achter de andere twee te werken,

Hij bewondert mijn liefde, maar de betaling van mijn lichaam is niet genoeg.

Omdat Aurelias zegt dat hij me niet kan helpen
