She’d been counting down the days

Friday night was almost here

Daddy took her shopping

Baby's eerste thuiskomst

Papa nam haar boodschappen mee

Om de perfecte jurk te vinden

Als een model op de catwalk

Hij zag haar ronddraaien en zei: oh mijn meisje

Je wordt te snel groot

Niet klaar voor thuiskomst

Verloor de controle rond een stoeprand en alles zou veranderen

We kunnen niets doen

Familie valt biddend daar in de wachtkamer

God zeg dat het niet waar is

Al hun tranen lopen
