How could I quantify it

In the darkness of the world

Wake to the shadow of a dream

Nothing’s what it seems

Ghost lights and matter

You’ll know what is real

Perception and fact — all the same

Truth’s what you feel

And the wind and the rain

That were shaking the pane

Move onward along with the clouds

And you’re gazing in awe

At the ghost lights above

As if stars cut their way through the shroud

Ghost lights

Oh they reach out for you

Blazing the trail under obsidian skies

Zie de kleintjes ronddwalen

Heilig hart wil je me nu naar binnen leiden

Want ik zal de lantaarn jouw kant op dragen

Want ik breng ons thuis

Donker is de nacht, scharlaken de maan

Heilig het licht in de nevel die naar binnen reflecteert

Baanbrekend het pad

Wees stil mijn rusteloze hart

Obsidian is de lucht

Je kijkt naar binnen terwijl je stilstaat

Wees nog steeds rusteloos van hart

Ik ben onderweg

Onder de hemel van obsidiaan

Word wakker met het geluid van voorbijgaande tijd

Hoe kan ik het kwantificeren?

In de duisternis van de wereld

Word wakker met de schaduw van een droom

Niets is wat het lijkt

Terwijl je de duisternis van de wereld trotseert

Spooklichten en materie

Je weet wat echt is

Perceptie en feit — allemaal hetzelfde

De waarheid is wat je voelt

En de wind en de regen

Dat schudde de ruit

Ga verder met de wolken

En je kijkt vol ontzag

Bij de spooklichten hierboven

Alsof sterren zich een weg banen door de lijkwade

Door en door en door…

maan schijnt
