They’re doing a new dance, a tried and a true dance

So, please don’t boo-woo it

'Cause we got this little dance that’s gonna rise to fame

It’s sure to put 'most any other dance to shame

The Turkey Trot, the Bunny Hug, the Tickley Toe

Will be forgotten when we start to go

Mister Leader, won’t you start the syncopation?

And we’ll begin our little demonstration

Now…

First you put your two knees close up tight

Then, you sway it to the left and you sway it to the right

Step around the floor kind of nice and light

Then you twist around, you twist around with all of your might

Stretch your lovin' arms straight out in space

Then you do the Eagle Walk-a with-a style and grace

Swing your foot way 'round and bring it back

Now that’s what I call Ballin' the Jack!

Ze doen een nieuwe dans, een beproefde en een echte dans

Dat zal het land vegen

En je zult denken dat het zo groots is

Je moet leren hoe je het moet doen

Dus, alsjeblieft niet boe-woo it

Want we hebben dit kleine dansje dat beroemd zal worden

Het is zeker om 'de meeste andere dans' te schande te maken

De kalkoendraf, de konijnenknuffel, de kietelende teen

Zal worden vergeten wanneer we beginnen te gaan

Mister Leader, wilt u de syncopen niet starten?

En we beginnen met onze kleine demonstratie

Nutsvoorzieningen…

Eerst zet je je twee knieën dicht tegen elkaar aan

Vervolgens zwaai je hem naar links en naar rechts

Stap lekker licht over de vloer

Dan draai je rond, draai je rond met al je kracht

Strek je liefdevolle armen gestrekt in de ruimte

Dan doe je de Eagle Walk-a met een stijl en gratie

Zwaai je voet helemaal rond en breng hem terug

Dat is wat ik Ballin' the Jack noem!
