Contemplation - Up Front

Caught my reflection the other day, but I was nowhere to be found

I was flying high the day before, but now I’m lying on the ground

And I’m trapped in confusion, looking for a solution

Things are great, while they last, but when they’re gone I have to ask

Why must this pain hurt so bad?

Will it ever go away?

When will things be great again?

Why can’t they be great today?

I looked up to the sky and the sun was in my eyes, but here comes the rain

I finally found the track and I don’t want to look back, but here comes the

Train

I feel like I’ve been doing things the way I should, but here comes the blame

I feel like I’m on top of things, I’m feeling pretty good, but here comes the

Pain

And it gets me thinking

And it leaves me sinking

Low low low

Into the ocean of contemplation

Ik zag onlangs mijn reflectie, maar ik was nergens te vinden

Ik vloog de dag ervoor hoog, maar nu lig ik op de grond

En ik zit gevangen in verwarring, op zoek naar een oplossing

Dingen zijn geweldig, zolang ze duren, maar als ze weg zijn, moet ik het vragen

Waarom moet deze pijn zo erg pijn doen?

Zal het ooit verdwijnen?

Wanneer gaat het weer goed?

Waarom kunnen ze vandaag niet geweldig zijn?

Ik keek omhoog naar de lucht en de zon scheen in mijn ogen, maar hier komt de regen

Ik heb eindelijk de track gevonden en ik wil niet terugkijken, maar hier komt de

Trein

Ik heb het gevoel dat ik de dingen heb gedaan zoals ik zou moeten doen, maar hier komt de schuld

Ik heb het gevoel dat ik er bovenop zit, ik voel me best goed, maar hier komt de

Pijn

En het zet me aan het denken

En het laat me zinken

Laag laag laag

In de oceaan van contemplatie
