A little girl was travelling

by chance, across a country yet unknown

with nothing but a handful of hope

she had set out to find

the sun

You may call it fate, but even so

she met a little friend

and they were two

Thry danced along their path

and put smiles upon the faces of everyone

Their numbers grew and soon they were quite a few

they started to pick up things on which they played

A stick, a flute, a drum

Then soon they started all

to hum

met niets dan een handvol hoop

ze was op zoek gegaan naar

de zon

Je mag het het lot noemen, maar toch

ze ontmoette een kleine vriend

en ze waren twee

Thry danste langs hun pad

en een glimlach op de gezichten van iedereen toveren

Hun aantal groeide en al snel waren het er nogal wat

ze begonnen dingen op te pikken waarop ze speelden

Een stok, een fluit, een trommel

Toen begonnen ze al snel allemaal
