Luck’s a chance but trouble’s for sure

you will cry tears of fear and shame

when the message reaches you

get awake and scream my name

My memorry goes white for a while

when the truck slammed my car

the diesel tank in it explode

sending a fireball into the sky

it was a call from the hospital

which reached you in the afternoon

now you run into my room

come to me while there is still time

Bring me to the last ferry

it will strengthen our bond

as far as the light could carry

and most likely far beyond

My eyeballs pulse in the sockets

hear my heart beat as well

feel the whoosh of my blood

rushing through my body

word wakker en schreeuw mijn naam

Mijn geheugen wordt een tijdje wit

toen de vrachtwagen mijn auto dichtsloeg

de dieseltank erin explodeert

een vuurbal de lucht in sturen

het was een telefoontje van het ziekenhuis

die u 's middags heeft bereikt

nu ren je mijn kamer binnen

kom naar me toe nu er nog tijd is

Breng me naar de laatste veerboot

het zal onze band versterken

zo ver als het licht kon dragen

en hoogstwaarschijnlijk ver daarbuiten

Mijn oogbollen kloppen in de oogkassen
