Wolfborn - Heidra

We came into the woods of the wolves

Seeking allies for the war

Renowned were the proud warriors

Of the seven forest tribes

We went deep into the woods

The trees now blocking out the light

A man clad in gray approached

And spoke these words unto us

«I am the son of wolves

Mother Nature is my mistress

I am the king of the wilds

The Wolfborn am I»

«Fight for me» I said to him

«And I shall reward you and all your kind»

«We need neither riches nor glory» he said

«We serve only the gods and the forest»

«Feast with me in my halls tonight

And I shall hear you out»

We then followed him to his grove

As he sang this song

It was truly a great feast to behold

Meat and drink to our hearts desire

And as day turned into night

Drinking songs echoed in the hall

Until the lord of the woods rose to speak

And silence again fell on the gathering

«This world faces dark times

I feel it like a whisper on the wind

I am a creature of the light

And in this quest I shall aid you»

«I am the son of wolves

We kwamen in de bossen van de wolven

Op zoek naar bondgenoten voor de oorlog

Beroemd waren de trotse krijgers

Van de zeven bosstammen

We gingen diep het bos in

De bomen blokkeren nu het licht

Een in het grijs geklede man naderde

En sprak deze woorden tot ons

"Ik ben de zoon van wolven"

Moeder Natuur is mijn minnares

Ik ben de koning van de wildernis

De Wolfborn ben ik»

"Vecht voor mij" zei ik tegen hem

«En ik zal u en al uw soort belonen»

"We hebben rijkdom noch glorie nodig", zei hij

«We dienen alleen de goden en het bos»

«Feest vanavond met mij in mijn zalen

En ik zal je uithoren»

Daarna volgden we hem naar zijn bos

Terwijl hij dit nummer zong

Het was echt een groot feest om te zien

Vlees en drank naar ons hartenwens

En toen de dag in de nacht veranderde

Drinkende liedjes weergalmden in de zaal

Tot de heer van het bos opstond om te spreken

En opnieuw viel er stilte op de bijeenkomst

«Deze wereld maakt donkere tijden door»

Ik voel het als een fluistering in de wind

Ik ben een schepsel van het licht

En in deze zoektocht zal ik je helpen»
