are you bothered by temptations

that the tempter brings your way?

is the threat of losing fellowship

staring in your face?

and though your stronger yesterdays

come back to drain your faith

seems there’s no one who can help you

and your falling from grace.

kom terug om je geloof uit te putten

het lijkt erop dat er niemand is die je kan helpen

en je valt uit de gratie.

ook al probeer je je uiterste best te doen

het komt nooit goed uit

al het goede waar je naar verlangd hebt

lijkt zo ver uit het zicht.

en hoewel je vrienden overal om je heen zijn, voel je je helemaal alleen

en de gebeden die je dagelijks bidt

kom niet bij Gods troon

je moet niet luisteren naar de dingen die je hebt gehoord!

er zijn dingen die ik niet begrijp

maar door jouw woord weet ik dat ik het kan

en als je het woord gewoon verbergt...

opdat ik niet tegen u zou zondigen

verberg het woord, verberg het in mijn hart
