so the circuit goes

the ride is surreal

my hands on the wheel

but I don’t have control

the illusions though

from the edge of my seat

I’m ready to reach out

still the circuit goes

there’s rust on the steel

it’s part of the deal

but they won’t let me go

am I far too close

till my memory retreats

and the distance repeats itself

dus het circuit gaat

de rit is surrealistisch

mijn handen aan het stuur

maar ik heb geen controle

de illusies hoor

vanaf het puntje van mijn stoel

Ik ben klaar om contact op te nemen

toch gaat het circuit

er zit roest op het staal

het maakt deel uit van de deal

maar ze laten me niet gaan

ben ik veel te dichtbij?

tot mijn geheugen zich terugtrekt

en de afstand herhaalt zich
