Abstract sun, you’re the Sanskrit in my book

Dominion, innocence and pride you took

As a god, I drink the beauty with my eyes

As a man, I do become what I despise

The first time I tried, I bled and I died

Out of the jar to this flamboyant star

Drawn like a moth, clutching because

The idol was there, I approached struck with fear

Locust sun, you’re the apple and the pie

Appolyon, wrapped in ash and so am I

And I ask, do men cry or am I wrong?

Gone too far will I live to end this song?

Again now I crept, I saw and I wept

So near, still so far, I’m nothing at all

The last time was right, I gave you my life

The purpose I found and now I am gone

Into the Abstract Sun

Abstracte zon, jij bent het Sanskriet in mijn boek

Dominion, onschuld en trots die je nam

Als een god drink ik de schoonheid met mijn ogen

Als man word ik wat ik veracht

De eerste keer dat ik het probeerde, bloedde ik en ging ik dood

Uit de pot voor deze flamboyante ster

Getekend als een mot, geklemd omdat

Het idool was daar, ik naderde getroffen door angst

Locust sun, jij bent de appel en de taart

Appyon, in as gewikkeld en ik ook

En ik vraag, huilen mannen of heb ik het mis?

Zal ik te ver gaan om dit nummer te beëindigen?

Nogmaals, ik kroop, ik zag en ik huilde

Zo dichtbij, nog steeds zo ver, ik ben helemaal niets

De laatste keer was goed, ik gaf je mijn leven

Het doel dat ik heb gevonden en nu ben ik weg
