I turn to poetry

I turn to the books I read

To say what I mean

But words…

Words are absurd

And letters cause more pain

So I’ll tell it to you plain

I’ll always be your friend

I love you has no end

And with that, I send

Us both into mystery

And I’ll try not to worry

Because it’s only a story

Ik wend me tot poëzie

Ik wend me tot de boeken die ik lees

Om te zeggen wat ik bedoel

Maar woorden...

Woorden zijn absurd

En brieven veroorzaken meer pijn

Dus ik zal het je duidelijk vertellen

Ik zal altijd je vriend zijn

Ik hou van jou heeft geen einde

En daarmee verzend ik

Wij beiden in mysterie

En ik zal proberen me geen zorgen te maken

Omdat het maar een verhaal is
