I caught you sleeping in the middle of the night with your hand on top of my

belly.

I didn’t have all the answers for what went right.

A congregation of distractions, knocking at my door.

They’re a company of errors, a call I leave unanswered, and turn out the lights.

As these old walls lose resilience, just an artefact that couldn’t last.

I watch your love flood through the palace, couldn’t help but watch you wash

away the past.

Just read the writing on the wall, and let the wind blow where it’s blowing.

Ik betrapte je terwijl je midden in de nacht sliep met je hand op mijn

buik.

Ik had niet alle antwoorden op wat goed ging.

Een congregatie van afleidingen, kloppend op mijn deur.

Ze zijn een bedrijf van fouten, een oproep die ik onbeantwoord laat en het licht uitdoof.

Omdat deze oude muren hun veerkracht verliezen, is het gewoon een artefact dat niet lang meegaat.

Ik kijk hoe je liefde door het paleis stroomt, ik kon het niet helpen, maar kijk hoe je je wast

het verleden weg.

Lees gewoon het schrift op de muur en laat de wind waaien waar hij waait.

Gooi je handen omhoog naar het gevecht, we hadden nooit de antwoorden nodig voor wat er ging
