There’s a season in your eyes

And a fever on your breath

You’re anchored to the tide

And the rhythm in your chest

I read the rings and count the city lights

You sing a static sonnet on the dial

You could talk a walk, through the mines

Or you could spend all your days

Just waiting for the night

The stones that skip, the dust that turns to fire

I see it all reflected in your eyes

Er is een seizoen in je ogen

En koorts op je adem

Je bent verankerd aan het getij

En het ritme in je borst

Ik lees de ringen en tel de stadslichten

Je zingt een statisch sonnet op de wijzerplaat

Je zou een wandeling kunnen maken, door de mijnen

Of je kunt al je dagen doorbrengen

Gewoon wachten op de nacht

De stenen die overslaan, het stof dat in vuur verandert

Ik zie het allemaal weerspiegeld in je ogen
