Well it’s hard enough to have a voice

In a world where fiction means more than the facts

It’s like we don’t really have a choice

In what we say or even how to act

It’s like any other day in the big city

But you won’t get anything from them but pity

No one will appreciate your plight

The pain of a thousand stories in your mind

We give sight to the disadvantaged blind

We show how people’s paths are intertwined

Exhausted in this world we try hard to find

But in our strength we are so weak and weary

And fly to the better option than the fight

I’m on the poems and songs and hopes and theories

It’s difficult to tell who’s wrong or right

Though night skies make it hard to see things clearly
