Old grey guardian,

The most faithful of all friends,

Protect, secure, defend,

Conceived in turbulence,

Still remaining of this Earth,

In life, in death and rebirth,

And I’ve seen you wear the scars,

As the shadows do define,

Your shape, your form, your design,

A light will slowly rise,

Illuminating all consumed by the night,

Oude grijze bewaker,
