This one is a little song dedicated to the Boy Scouts of America.

(applause) We seem to have a convention here tonight.

The Boy Scouts of

America, those noble little bastions of democracy, and the American Legion of

tomorrow.

Their motto is--I would like to state at this time that I am not now

and have never been… a member of the Boy Scouts of America--their motto is,

as you know, «Be Prepared,» and that is the name of this song

Weet je, van alle liedjes die ik ooit heb gezongen, is dat de enige

Ik heb de meeste verzoeken gekregen om dat niet te doen.

Dit is een klein liedje opgedragen aan de padvinders van Amerika.

(applaus) Het lijkt erop dat we hier vanavond een conventie hebben.

De padvinders van

Amerika, die nobele kleine bastions van de democratie, en het American Legion of

morgen.

Hun motto is: ik zou op dit moment willen zeggen dat ik dat nu niet ben

en zijn nog nooit ... lid geweest van de Boy Scouts of America - hun motto is:

zoals je weet, «Be Prepared,» en dat is de naam van dit nummer
