She pulls the shade;

Its just another sunny sunday

She dodges the light like blanche dubois

Bright colors fade away on such a sunny sunday;

She waits for the night to fall

Then she points a pistol through the door

And she aims at the streetlight

While the freeway hisses

Dogs bark as the gun falls to the floor

The streetlights still burning;

She always misses

But the day she hits

Thats the day shell leave

That one little victory, thats all she needs!

Ze trekt aan de schaduw;

Het is gewoon weer een zonnige zondag

Ze ontwijkt het licht als blanche dubois

Heldere kleuren vervagen op zo'n zonnige zondag;

Ze wacht tot de nacht valt

Dan wijst ze een pistool door de deur

En ze richt op de straatlantaarn

Terwijl de snelweg sist

Honden blaffen als het pistool op de grond valt

De straatlantaarns branden nog;

Ze mist altijd

Maar de dag dat ze toeslaat

Dat is de dag shell verlof

Die ene kleine overwinning, dat is alles wat ze nodig heeft!

Ze trekt aan de schaduw;

Het is gewoon weer een zonnige maandag

Ze wacht tot de nacht valt
