Where Eagles Dare - Iron Maiden

It’s snowing outside the rumbling sound

of engines roar in the night.

The mission is near the confident men

are waiting to drop from the sky.

The Blizzard goes on but still they must fly

No one should go where eagles dare.

Bavarian alps that lay all around

they seem to stare from below.

The enemy lines a long time passed

are lying deep in the snow.

Into the night they fall through the sky

They’re closing in the fortress is near

it’s standing high in the sky.

The cable car’s the only way in it’s really impossible to climb.

They make their way but maybe too late

They’ve got to try to save the day.

The panicking cries the roaring of guns

are echoing all around the valley.

Het sneeuwt buiten het rommelende geluid

van motoren brullen in de nacht.

De missie is dicht bij de zelfverzekerde mannen

wachten om uit de lucht te vallen.

De sneeuwstorm gaat door, maar ze moeten toch vliegen

Niemand mag gaan waar adelaars durven.

Beierse Alpen die overal om je heen liggen

ze lijken van onderaf te staren.

De vijandelijke linies gingen een lange tijd voorbij

liggen diep in de sneeuw.

In de nacht vallen ze door de lucht

Niemand mag vliegen waar adelaars durven.

Ze komen dichterbij, het fort is dichtbij

het staat hoog in de lucht.

De kabelbaan is de enige manier om erin te komen, het is echt onmogelijk om te klimmen.

Ze vinden hun weg, maar misschien te laat

Ze moeten proberen de dag te redden.

De paniek huilt het gebulder van geweren

echoën door de hele vallei.
