See up until you see beyond it

Everything is dominated by one’s self

Is it not

I want to be awakened

I want to be enlightened

I want to have some spiritual revelation

Which is really no different than

I want an ice cream cone

I want to be loved

I like or I don’t like

Do you see how the fiction of self always keeps itself in the center of one’s

consciousness

Yeah

And spiritual awakening is seeing through the fiction of that

That actually there isn’t actually a self in the center of one’s consciousness

It is ironic is it not

That the thing that terrifies one’s self the most

Which is the absence of self

Is actually the exact same thing which gives rise to liberation

The liberation from self

Kijk omhoog totdat je verder kijkt

Alles wordt gedomineerd door jezelf

Is het niet

Ik wil gewekt worden

Ik wil verlicht worden

Ik wil wat spirituele openbaring hebben

Wat eigenlijk niet anders is dan

Ik wil een ijshoorntje

Ik wil geliefd zijn

Ik vind het leuk of ik vind het niet leuk

Zie je hoe de fictie van het zelf zich altijd in het centrum van iemands zelf houdt

bewustzijn

Ja

En spiritueel ontwaken is de fictie daarvan doorzien

Dat er eigenlijk geen zelf is in het centrum van iemands bewustzijn

Het is ironisch is het niet

Dat is het ding dat iemand het meest beangstigt

Dat is de afwezigheid van het zelf

Is eigenlijk precies hetzelfde dat aanleiding geeft tot bevrijding

De bevrijding van jezelf
