Everything’s to blame for all of this

Beauty lies and so does everyone else

I can see my veins right through my skin

They are bluey-green and branch right off

Like those little floating highways

And the roadmapped river

Nervous systems make me nervous

Especially now that they’ve hurt us

Lying still I feel this silence stir

And if your mind was to duplicate itself

Slowly grow into an ocean

Would you reabsorb and let the current pull you in

I can feel my lungs fill full with air

They are pinkish-red and branch right out

Like the tracks in the subways

Or the horns of the caribou

Ik zou alles omcirkelen wat je zegt

En richt de bel terug naar je mond

Foto's en fotosynthese

Alles is de schuld van dit alles

Schoonheid liegt en dat geldt ook voor alle anderen

Net zoals jij

Ik zie mijn aderen dwars door mijn huid

Ze zijn blauwgroen en vertakken zich meteen

Zoals die kleine drijvende snelwegen

En de uitgestippelde rivier

Zenuwstelsels maken me nerveus

Vooral nu ze ons pijn hebben gedaan

Stil liggend voel ik deze stilte roeren

En als je geest zichzelf zou dupliceren

Langzaam uitgroeien tot een oceaan

Zou je weer absorberen en je laten trekken door de stroom?

Ik voel mijn longen zich vullen met lucht

Ze zijn rozerood en vertakken recht naar buiten

Zoals de sporen in de metro

Of de hoorns van de kariboes
