God has a race for each one of us to run.

It’s not a race we run by ourselves.

He sent us a Helper, the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will help us at all times, if we let Him.

He will prompt us at times, warn us at times, comfort us and make sure we are

doing the right thing and making the right decisions.

He knows everything we need to know to get us to that finish line.

The one thing we must do when running God’s race is to stay the course,

no matter what it feels like, no matter what it looks like and no matter how

long it takes.

Stay the course.

Why do some of us feel like we never reach that finish line?

Most of the time it’s because we don’t stay the course.

Either we get tired, we get bored, or maybe we get scared, etc.

Whatever the reason is, it’s because we step off the course that God has for us,

maybe to see if there is an easier way or quicker route.

God says to stay the course…

don’t try to make it happen quicker.

Don’t try to find an easier way.

Run with endurance and finish the race.

Amen.

God heeft voor ieder van ons een wedloop te lopen.

Het is geen race die we zelf rijden.

Hij stuurde ons een Helper, de Heilige Geest.

De Heilige Geest zal ons te allen tijde helpen, als we Hem dat toestaan.

Hij zal ons soms aansporen, ons soms waarschuwen, ons troosten en ervoor zorgen dat we

het juiste doen en de juiste beslissingen nemen.

Hij weet alles wat we moeten weten om ons naar die eindstreep te brengen.

Het enige dat we moeten doen als we Gods wedloop lopen, is op koers blijven,

hoe het ook voelt, hoe het er ook uitziet en hoe het ook is

lang het duurt.

Blijf bij de les.

Waarom hebben sommigen van ons het gevoel dat we die eindstreep nooit halen?

Meestal is het omdat we niet bij de les blijven.

Of we worden moe, we vervelen ons, of we worden bang, enz.

Wat de reden ook is, het is omdat we afwijken van de koers die God voor ons heeft,

misschien om te zien of er een gemakkelijkere of snellere route is.

God zegt om op koers te blijven...

probeer het niet sneller te laten gebeuren.

Probeer geen gemakkelijkere manier te vinden.

Ren met uithoudingsvermogen en voltooi de race.
