Door als baby naar muziekgeluiden te luisteren

En luisteren naar een platenspeler

Je zou het geluid oppikken en herhalen wat je hoort

Maar je hebt het moeilijk gehad met worstelen

Door je carrière

Maar je bleef aandringen op je droom gaf je nooit op

En ik dank God voor de moeite die je hebt gedaan

Je zingt al op jonge leeftijd in de kerk

En je eert je ouders al heel lang

En je hebt geleerd hoe je mensen moet respecteren

Maar ik wil dat je dat blijft doen

Vergeet nooit waar je vandaan komt

En vergeet nooit wat je vader je heeft geleerd

Hij heeft je geleerd hoe je op zondagochtend naar de kerk moet gaan

En hoe je je broers en zussen moet behandelen

En hij heeft je geleerd hoe je met mensen kunt delen

Ik wil dat je altijd onthoudt dat God van je houdt

En ik hou ook van jou

Onthoud altijd dat je goed moet doen
