Surtur comes from the south

With red hot fire wargods swords

Shines like the sun

Mountains breaks, men on hel-road

The heaven crumbles, Ragnarok is at hand

Then to Hlin appears

Another grief when Odin goes to fight

The evil Fenris

And the brave and glory Frey

Goes against Surtur

Then will Friggs beloved one die

Vidar, Odin's mighty son

He will come to slay the wolf

The sword runs into the

Heart of Hverdrungs son

So he avenges his father

So comes Llodyns noble son

Thor he goes to fight the snake

In anger he slays the guardian of Midgaard

Nine steps dying walks Odin’s son

Away from the snake who misdeeds not fear

Dying from it venom

When all are gone

Only Surtur remained

Passing his hand of fire

Across the whole world

Consuming all of creation

Surtur komt uit het zuiden

Met roodgloeiende oorlogsgoden zwaarden

Schijnt als de zon

Bergen breekt, mannen op hel-weg

De hemel stort in, Ragnarok is nabij

Dan verschijnt Hlin

Nog een verdriet als Odin gaat vechten

De boze Fenris

En de dappere en glorieuze Frey

Gaat tegen Surtur

Dan zal de geliefde van Friggs sterven

Vidar, de machtige zoon van Odin

Hij zal komen om de wolf te doden

Het zwaard loopt in de

Hart van Hverdrungs zoon

Dus hij wreekt zijn vader

Dus komt Llodyns nobele zoon

Thor hij gaat de slang bevechten

In woede doodt hij de bewaker van Midgaard

Negen stappen sterven leidt Odins zoon

Weg van de slang die wandaden niet vreest

Aan dood gaan gif

Als alles weg is

Alleen Surtur bleef over

Zijn vuurhand doorgeven

Over de hele wereld

De hele schepping consumeren
