A Ravens Flight - Wolfchant

Autumn is embracing the land

All voices are disappearing

The landscape is fading to grey

And the nature is going to sleep

The fog is covering the fields

Just fragments of trees I can see

Withering leaves under my feet

Every step will bring me back in time

My mind is flying in the sphere of time

I see myself walking on the old path

The elder path of my forefathers

Consecration will come

This is a lonely walk through the mist

Wisdom and faith in the eyes of a raven

I see it’s mighty wings in the sky

Full of proud and full of spirit

Winter is embracing the land

All the light are disappearing

The landscape is fading to white

And the nature is sleeping these days

Is this the end of all life?

All these moments frozen in ice

This is just the beginning!

The wheel of time is turning further

I lay a thought on its wings, to carry it away

Oh, bring it to the sun, so far behind the clouds

The misery of this time, all sorrow will go by

I’m looking forward to the future, so fly raven, fly

De herfst omarmt het land

Alle stemmen verdwijnen

Het landschap vervaagt naar grijs

En de natuur gaat slapen

De mist bedekt de velden

Alleen fragmenten van bomen die ik kan zien

Verwelkende bladeren onder mijn voeten

Elke stap brengt me terug in de tijd

Mijn geest vliegt in de sfeer van tijd

Ik zie mezelf lopen op het oude pad

Het oudere pad van mijn voorouders

Toewijding zal komen

Dit is een eenzame wandeling door de mist

Wijsheid en geloof in de ogen van een raaf

Ik zie dat het machtige vleugels in de lucht zijn

Vol trots en vol spirit

De winter omarmt het land

Al het licht verdwijnt

Het landschap vervaagt naar wit

En de natuur slaapt tegenwoordig

Is dit het einde van al het leven?

Al deze momenten bevroren in ijs

Dit is nog maar het begin!

Het wiel van de tijd draait verder

Ik leg een gedachte op zijn vleugels om het weg te dragen

Oh, breng het naar de zon, zo ver achter de wolken

De ellende van deze tijd, al het verdriet gaat voorbij

Ik kijk uit naar de toekomst, dus vlieg raaf, vlieg
