There was a time in life

where I lost all hope in myself.

Empty words from an empty head.

Only if you’ve seen the ground

you can see a light.

Maybe time will heal my wounds

but I will always see the scars.

Now I’m awake

taking first steps in a brandnew world.

Out of coma

I’m taking the first breath of my life.

waar ik alle hoop in mezelf verloor.

Lege woorden uit een leeg hoofd.

Alleen als je de grond hebt gezien

je kunt een licht zien.

Misschien heelt de tijd mijn wonden

maar ik zal altijd de littekens zien.

Nu ben ik wakker

eerste stappen zetten in een geheel nieuwe wereld.

Ik haal de eerste adem van mijn leven.

Deze is opgedragen aan de verlorenen

wees altijd eerlijk tegen jezelf,

wees ruimdenkend, wees jezelf

en je zult nooit alleen lopen.
