From its cave of darkness,

A foul beast shifts its bones

Moonless night its veil,

The mountain beast will come out to play

Perched high in the black peaks,

None oft stir the beast

Though men fear its presence,

Its lair was sealeduntil this day!

Stumbling down the hillside,

Rocks and boulders fly

Mischief is its motive,

Hear it’s baleful cry

Deep down in the marshland,

Amongst the shacks and mud,

The men there sense it’s presence,

Soon their swamp will harbour the beast!

The mountain brute,

Stomps into the swamp,

All are crushed by it’s reign

The mountain brute,

Spares none in its romp

None remain

Howling and screaming,

With raucous mirth,

The beast swings it’s horrid claws

Mischief and chaos,

Tears through the town,

The beast yells a frightful roar

Soon comes the morn

Sun lights the dawn

Rays coat the marsh

Troll turns to stone

Vanuit zijn grot van duisternis,

Een vuil beest verschuift zijn botten

Maanloze nacht zijn sluier,

Het bergbeest komt naar buiten om te spelen

Hoog in de zwarte toppen,

Niemand roert het beest vaak

Hoewel mannen zijn aanwezigheid vrezen,

Zijn hol was tot op de dag van vandaag verzegeld!

Struikelend langs de helling,

Rotsen en keien vliegen

Onheil is het motief,

Hoor het is een noodlottige kreet

Diep in het moerasland,

Tussen de hutten en modder,

De mannen daar voelen zijn aanwezigheid,

Binnenkort zal hun moeras het beest herbergen!

Stompt in het moeras,

Allen zijn verpletterd door zijn heerschappij

De bergbeest,

Spaart niemand in zijn ravotten

Er blijft niets over

Huilend en schreeuwend,

Met rauwe vrolijkheid,

Het beest zwaait met zijn afschuwelijke klauwen

Onheil en chaos,

Tranen door de stad,

Het beest schreeuwt een angstaanjagend gebrul

Binnenkort komt de morgen

De zon verlicht de dageraad

Stralen bedekken het moeras

Trol verandert in steen
