Building The Ark - Orphaned Land

Cumque vidisset Deus terram esse corruptam omnis

quippe caro corruperat viam suam super terram

Fac tibi arcam de lignis levitagis mansiunculas

in arca facies et bitumine lilies intrinsecus et extrinserus

…corrupta est autem terra coram Deo…

Et ex cunctis animantibus universae carnis bina indu-

ces in arcam ut vivant tecum

«Thy servants are we,

our lord who sits up high,

Thy rod and thy staff,

shall comfort and guide our hands»

Translation:

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was

corrupt: for all flesh

had corrupted his way upon the earth.

«Make Thee an ark of gopher wood;

rooms shalt thou make in the ark,

and shalt pitch it within and without

pitch»

…The earth was corrupt before God.

«Of every living thing of all flesh,

two of every sort shalt thou bring

into the ark

to keep them alive

with thee»

zal onze handen troosten en leiden»

Vertaling:

En God keek naar de aarde, en zie, het was...

corrupt: voor alle vlees

zijn weg op aarde had verdorven.

«Maak U een ark van goferhout;

kamers zult gij maken in de ark,

en gooi het van binnen en van buiten

toonhoogte"

… De aarde was verdorven voor God.

«Van elk levend wezen van alle vlees,

twee van elke soort zult u meenemen

in de ark

om ze in leven te houden

met thee"
