It’s all about control

Every dictatorship has one obsession

And that’s it.

So, in ancient Rome,

they gave the people

bread and circuses.

They kept the populace

busy with entertainment.

But other dictatorships use other

other strategies to control ideas.

The knowledge.

How do they do that?

Lower education.

They limit culture.

Censor information.

They censor any means of individual expression.

And it’s important to remember this,

that this is a pattern

that repeats itself

throughout history.

of my thoughts,

Maar dat doe ik niet

Het draait allemaal om controle

Elke dictatuur heeft één obsessie

En dat is het.

Dus, in het oude Rome,

ze gaven de mensen

brood en spelen.

Ze hielden de bevolking

bezig met amusement.

Maar andere dictaturen gebruiken andere

andere strategieën om ideeën te controleren.

De kennis.

Hoe doen ze dat?

Lager onderwijs.

Ze beperken de cultuur.

Informatie censureren.

Ze censureren elk middel van individuele expressie.

En het is belangrijk om dit te onthouden,

dat dit een patroon is

dat herhaalt zich

doorheen de geschiedenis.

Wat zou ik graag zien dat je terug bent

Maar dat ben je niet, en je bent weg
