Canyon - Junco

In the canyon i woke

With the cup in my hand

I hardly spoke

I felt the weight of the plan

But if it takes all day

I’ll want more to take away

Everything that i touch

Turns to grey

Better lost before

On the way to the sound

I used it for

Keeping my feet on the ground

But when the wind picked up

I got scared and spilled my guts

Every year i end up in a rut

Losing track of time

And drifting

On a narrow line

In de kloof werd ik wakker

Met de beker in mijn hand

Ik sprak nauwelijks

Ik voelde het gewicht van het plan

Maar als het de hele dag duurt

Ik wil meer om mee te nemen

Alles wat ik aanraak

Wordt grijs

Beter eerder verloren

Op weg naar het geluid

Ik gebruikte het voor

Mijn voeten op de grond houden

Maar toen de wind opstak

Ik werd bang en morste mijn ingewanden

Elk jaar beland ik in een sleur

De tijd uit het oog verliezen

En drijven

Op een smalle lijn
