Our Control

is out of our control,

is out of our control,

why do we hold on,

when its out of our control,

its out of our control.

Selfishness, runs ram-pit in my brain,

it holds on to everything,

trying to sustain the life it wants to lead.

the only problem is,

that’s the most damaging part of me.

unmask this, side of me that holds on to sexual immorality

Unmask this, side of me that holds on to the lies

the hate and the deceit I have hidden it,

behind a dark mask of control that leads me down

an empty road take it, take it,

the only good in me is you Jesus Christ Take it,

even though i know how humiliating it will be,

What is hidden in the dark,

shall be brought to the light

What can i compare to the beauty of your humility,

that of which only can be made equal

to when complimented by your Grace,

that comes when i wear this selfishness

so defiantly as a coward with a mask on my face.

But i desperately held on to everything,

everyone around me i tried to control

the outcome of every circumstance that life brought my way.

The money, the stress, the worry never seems to melt away

as i denied your every offer to take these burdens away.

I am chasing the wind,

pick up your cross and follow Christ

If you, try to, hang on, to your life, you will loose it,

but if you, give up your life,

for my sake,

you will save it.

the, good news, you will save it.

Onze controle

buiten onze controle ligt,

buiten onze controle ligt,

is buiten onze controle.

waarom houden we vol,

wanneer het buiten onze controle ligt,

het is buiten onze controle.

Egoïsme, loopt een ramp in mijn brein,

het houdt alles vast,

proberen het leven dat het wil leiden in stand te houden.

het enige probleem is,

dat is het meest schadelijke deel van mij.

ontmasker deze kant van mij die vasthoudt aan seksuele immoraliteit

Ontmasker dit, kant van mij die vasthoudt aan de leugens

de haat en het bedrog dat ik heb verborgen,

achter een donker masker van controle dat me naar beneden leidt

een lege weg neem het, neem het,

het enige goede in mij ben jij Jezus Christus.

ook al weet ik hoe vernederend het zal zijn,

Wat is verborgen in het donker,

zal aan het licht worden gebracht

Wat kan ik vergelijken met de schoonheid van uw nederigheid,

waarvan alleen gelijk kan worden gemaakt

aan wanneer u wordt gecomplimenteerd door uw genade,

dat komt wanneer ik dit egoïsme draag

zo uitdagend als een lafaard met een masker op mijn gezicht.

Maar ik hield me wanhopig aan alles vast,

iedereen om me heen die ik probeerde te beheersen

het resultaat van elke omstandigheid die het leven op mijn pad bracht.

Het geld, de stress, de zorgen lijken nooit weg te smelten

omdat ik elk aanbod om deze lasten weg te nemen heb afgewezen.

het is allemaal tevergeefs zonder Hem,

Ik jaag op de wind,

jagen op de wind,

het is allemaal ijdel zonder Hem Verloochen jezelf,

neem je kruis op en volg Christus

Als je probeert vast te houden aan je leven, verlies je het,

maar als jij je leven opgeeft,

voor mijn bestwil,

je gaat het redden.

Als jij, om mijnentwil, je leven opgeeft,

en, ter wille van,

het goede nieuws, u zult het opslaan.
