Waves - Big Something

Maybe I’m right and maybe I’m wrong

Thought I knew but now it’s all gone gone

The things we know that we know

The things that we know that we don’t know

And when it all gets so heavy it’s hard to keep going

On a trip through the blackest seas but that’s when you know it

The brightest light it always comes

From the darkest places

And all my inspiration comes and goes

It comes and goes and comes and goes in waves

Fading slow from side to side

The tide goes low, the tide goes high

Back and forth inside your mind

In another place in another time

And when it all feels like a dream no I don’t believe it

What is real and what it seems I can’t find the meaning

The brightest light it always comes

From the darkest places

Misschien heb ik gelijk en misschien heb ik ongelijk

Ik dacht dat ik het wist, maar nu is het allemaal weg

De dingen die we weten die we weten

De dingen waarvan we weten dat we ze niet weten

En als het allemaal zo zwaar wordt, is het moeilijk om door te gaan

Op een reis door de zwartste zeeën, maar dan weet je het

Het helderste licht komt altijd

Van de donkerste plekken

En al mijn inspiratie komt en gaat

Het komt en gaat en komt en gaat in golven

Vervaagt langzaam van links naar rechts

Het tij gaat laag, het tij gaat hoog

Heen en weer in je hoofd

Op een andere plaats in een andere tijd

En als het allemaal aanvoelt als een droom, nee, ik geloof het niet

Wat is echt en wat het lijkt, ik kan de betekenis niet vinden

Het helderste licht komt altijd

Van de donkerste plekken
