The numbness of my mind

The comfort deep inside

Waiting all the time

For something else to take its place

It’s just a state but don’t take this all away

I don’t like this

I should take something to subside this

I’m happy once again

The chemicals kick in

Happy all the time

But it’s all because of them

The numbness of my mind

The comfort they provide

For something real to take their place

In een roes zitten

Het is mijn favoriete plek

Ik ben altijd blij

Maar dat is een stofgestuurde staat

De gevoelloosheid van mijn geest

Het comfort diep van binnen

De hele tijd wachten

Om er iets anders voor in de plaats te laten komen

Het is allemaal een nevel

Het is maar een staat, maar neem dit niet allemaal weg

Ik voel me niet goed

Ik vind dit niet leuk

Ik moet iets nemen om dit te verminderen

Ik ben weer blij

De chemicaliën komen binnen

Altijd blij

Maar het komt allemaal door hen

De gevoelloosheid van mijn geest

Het comfort dat ze bieden

De hele tijd wachten

Voor iets echts om hun plaats in te nemen
