Colours in the morning

Sunshine on the awning

It comes without warning

And I still feel like yawning

But if I could just hold on to the dream

I could keep the feeling

A leaky roof, a door that’s jammed

A dusty shelf, the food stuck to the pan

The broken clock, the moldy shelf

The car won’t start, there’s a fire in the chimney

Keep it light

Try to write it down

Before it’s gone

Zonneschijn op de luifel

Het komt zonder waarschuwing

En ik heb nog steeds zin om te gapen

Maar als ik de droom maar kon vasthouden

Ik kon het gevoel houden

Een lekkend dak, een deur die vastzit

Een stoffige plank, het eten plakt aan de pan

De kapotte klok, de beschimmelde plank

De auto start niet, er is brand in de schoorsteen

Er is brand in de schoorsteen
