Bless Our Arms - Arditi

The first half-century of my life is now over.

Much has been accomplished.

Much still has to be done to safeguard the future of our Reich.

The next years will be crucial.

Until 1942 or 1943, we shall still have the lead in the arms race with the

Western powers.

But with each passing year, this lead narrows.

So if anything is to be won, it must be fought for now.

Almighty God, Bless Our Arms, when the time comes.

Be righteous just as Thou has always been.

Judge for Thyself, whether we have now merited our freedom.

Lord, Bless our fighters.

In this situation there is only one solution, and that is not to yield one inch,

to point the gaps and hold on.

The troops are to be forced to put up a fanatical resistance in their lines,

regardless of any enemy break-through in their flanks or rear.

We have finally and without any exaggeration won this war.

De eerste halve eeuw van mijn leven is nu voorbij.

Er is veel bereikt.

Er moet nog veel worden gedaan om de toekomst van ons Reich veilig te stellen.

De komende jaren zullen cruciaal zijn.

Tot 1942 of 1943 zullen we nog steeds de leiding hebben in de wapenwedloop met de

Westerse mogendheden.

Maar met elk voorbijgaand jaar wordt deze voorsprong kleiner.

Dus als er iets te winnen valt, moet er nu voor worden gevochten.

Almachtige God, zegen onze armen, als de tijd daar is.

Wees rechtvaardig zoals U altijd bent geweest.

Oordeel zelf of we nu onze vrijheid hebben verdiend.

Heer, zegen onze strijders.

In deze situatie is er maar één oplossing, en dat is geen centimeter opbrengen,

om de gaten te wijzen en vol te houden.

De troepen zullen gedwongen worden tot fanatieke weerstand in hun linies,

ongeacht een vijandelijke doorbraak in hun flanken of achterkant.

We hebben eindelijk en zonder enige overdrijving deze oorlog gewonnen.
